Michael Ronca
Chief Executive & Director

Mr. Ronca is a seasoned oil and gas executive with over 30 years experience of growing and monetizing assets. His responsibilities include strategy, acquisition, divestitures, capital market activities and overall administrative coordination. He has been active in the Barnett Shale for the past ten years where he has served in the capacity of Chairman for a private company before taking control of EagleRidge in 2009. Prior to his activities in the Barnett he founded an oil and gas division of Tenneco Inc., later acquired it and took it public on the NYSE where he served as CEO. He later merged his company with Lomak Petroleum creating Range Resources where he served as COO.

Mr. Ronca has a BS degree from Villanova University and an MBA from Drexel University.


Mark Grawe
Executive Vice President

Mr. Grawe has a broad range of experience in production, land, legal, contracts, and regulatory activities and is a seasoned oil and gas executive. Mr. Grawe has over 37 years of experience with Texas Oil & Gas Corp., Oryx Energy Company, Union Pacific Resources Corporation and has been active in the Barnett Shale for the past ten years. During his career he has supervised and managed activities in drilling, completions, land, regulatory, engineering and legal and has managed over 25 acquisitions. He was a founding partner in Crimson Energy Company which was formed in 1998 and sold in 2004 for more than $100 million.

Mr. Grawe graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a major in Petroleum Land Management.


Tom Ashton
Executive Vice President, Operations

Mr. Ashton received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2003 and began his career with Schlumberger Well Services in the Rocky Mountain Region. In 2006, he joined Weatherford Int. Stimulation Services Division as a Technical Engineer in Fort Worth, TX. In 2007, Mr. Ashton joined Ely & Associates, Inc. as a Completion Engineer Consultant where he designed and supervised various types of completion and well stimulation projects. 

In 2010, Ashton joined the EagleRidge Energy Management Team as the Engineering Manager, responsible for all drilling and completion activities.  He played a key role in helping the Company expand their Barnett Shale drilling program from one to five horizontal drilling rigs.   In 2016, he assisted the Company’s A&D efforts, and after the successful acquisition of multiple North Texas assets he transitioned to Vice President of Operations.  Mr. Ashton and his operations team are responsible for improving production from legacy and acquired wells through workover well interventions, artificial lift installations, identifying operating efficiencies, value engineering, and using best practices to control expenses.


Sam Miller
Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Miller joined EagleRidge in 2010 as Director of Finance. Sam previously worked for Petro Capital Group, an energy-focused investment firm. Sam’s corporate finance responsibilities include managing the bank syndicate, budgeting process, hedging, acquisitions and divestitures, investor relations and other financial matters. Mr. Miller received a B.A. in International Affairs with a concentration in International Economics from The George Washington University.
