IT Support Specialist

We are currently looking for a talented individual to provide frontline primary technical support to end users on various technical issues and problems resolution relating to hardware, software and peripherals, and potentially grow the IT department internally. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing ticketing system and help with all break fix and deskside issues.
  • Maintaining master inventory for hardware and software by employee and department.
  • Maintaining and updating SOPs.
  • Assembling and staying on top of all annual and one-time renewals, e.g. ISP, Website Host, Office 365, VOIP Phones, SSL Certificates, Meraki Licenses, Antivirus etc.
  • Keeping company IT assets up to date with latest software updates.
  • Proactively suggesting ways of improving system stability, availability, performance and reliability.
  • Working independently on escalated issues.
  • Protecting and ensuring the stability of the operational systems as well as maintain the integrity of the data they contain.
  • Assessing, coordinating and reviewing all issues and impacts associated with applications support and business processes.
  • Leading projects to resolve technical issues.

Education and Experience

  • 2 years experience, preferably in oil and gas or related industry.
  • 2 years college or technical school preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and customer service mentality.
  • Ability to grasp new concepts and work in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work with scheduling and meet deadlines on projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of computer software and hardware for business applications.
